Understanding the true causes of panic attacks and anxiety can make all the difference in the world for you to discover the anxiety treatment you are looking for. These three causes include chemical imbalance in the body, societal and familial learning, and human response mechanism to something that happened in the past, and
Chemical imblance in the human body is a good place to look as far as one cause. When there’s a great enough imbalance, it impacts your physiological and emotional state to where you get depressed, stressed, experience anxiety, or even have panic attacks regularly. Anxiety therapy has been used to treat anxiety for many years. However the reason why it’s not as effective is because of that chemical imbalance. Not everyone can be cured through that method and it gets to be expensive after a while.
Genetic and childhood learning is another cause of anxiety and panic attacks. Anxiety disorder has a tendency to run in families where the mom and dad got such traits from their parents. Regardless of it being genetic or societal learning, these traits get passed on to the next generation and the next until the early learning cycle experiences some sort of break in it. That very same child will then go through life thinking the behavior of its parents is normal and thus will adapt those very same traits. That then becomes the genetic make up of that child.
A child’s mind is like a open box waiting to be filled up with stuff. If that child grows up in a disruptive or dysfunctional household, that box will fill up with anxiety and potentially panic attacks…especially if that child already has a chemical imbalance. The child learns these ways of being and goes through life being that way in any circumstance that conjures up anxiety and panic attacks.
The chemical imbalance deeply connects with the genetic transfer of genes from parents to children. The greater the chemical imbalance the more likely it will be passed onto their children in some form of fear of anxiety.
The response mechanism in the body is the other cause of panic attacks and anxiety. This piece is crucial to discovering why we experience anxiety. When people sense danger or perceived danger, our senses go up. Our mind latches onto something that happened a while ago or has happened several times in the past that was unpleasant, uncomfortable, or even scary. Whether you’re about to give a speech in front of 200 people or there is a scary man with a weapon in his hands about to attack you, the fear is valid and it all comes from somewhere. If a newborn baby were in front of that same large group of people or a man (heaven forbid) were to attack it, the baby would initially look un phased…main reason being it doesn’t have a memory of something scary or nerve wrecking to attach its mind to.
Waving a magic wand for your chemical imbalance to change is not going to carry the day. I’ve tried various forms of anxiety medicine, and grant it, it does work to a degree but it started to cost me too much money and it took entirely too long for the effects to really have the impact. Plus, it just became something I relied on instead of finding a way to harness my own true power.
I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for many many years. I searched the internet and other places for methods and cures for practically all my life. What I’ve found is there’s in fact many treatments out there that both doctors and non-doctors have come up with that has impacted millions of anxiety sufferers. What I’ve also discovered is this one treatment that not only changed my life but the lives of millions of people around the world. That treatment can work alone powerfully, but when coupled with the repetitive excercise of looking at anxiety provoking experiences, you have a win win situation you just cannot lose at.
I wanted to add in this random tip which is an oldie but a goodie and important technique. It’s called deep breathing. When that next anxiety or panic attack comes, remember to slow down and take deep breaths. This will slow down your heart rate and get to think a little more clearly.
I hope this has been of use to you. Understanding the causes and origins of anxiety and panic attacks can make all the difference in the world to you being on your way to getting rid of it. Please feel free to read my story of my lifelong struggle.
